Nosebomb

The P-51 Mustang RPG-7 model

Model Description

Nosebomb is the first limited edition RPG model released by GoatGuns, their pitch is “Meet "Nosebomb", inspired by P-51 Mustang fighter planes in World War 2. This is our first limited edition RPG and Sarge is proud of it.” We took some time to check out some P-51 Mustang paint jobs. While we couldn't find a single plane to match to this model's paint job, it seems to be a mash up of various paint jobs. We found several examples of Mustangs, OD green overall color with variations faces, as well as tan and brown or tan and green camouflage, we even found ones with a yellow and black or a yellow and blue checkered pattern on the tail.

The paintjob is a mashup of those three previously discussed P-51s, the rockets motor and sustainer are black with an OD green warhead, like the one that comes with Bugout, but the warhead also has a UV printed face, with one eye on either side and a mouth with sharklike triangular teeth and a red tough in the black void of the mouth. The launchers main tube and heat shield are a base in a similar medium brown color like what you get on the tan SCAR model, it then has splotches of a darker brown UV printed on in a camouflage pattern, while the metal parts like the sights, sling attachment points, heat shield bands, and trigger assembly are a dark bare metal color. The grips are the same OD green as the warhead. The Venturi on the back is a vibrant yellow with a blue checkered pattern UV printed around it right up until just before the flange at the very back. The heat shield also has the number forty-eight printed on it as well as an old US Airforce star on either side. The downside of the UV printing process is the way the laser cures the paint, while most models this wouldn't be so obvious, with the completely cylindrical shape of the RPG models you can clearly tell the laser can't get the tops and bottoms of the model very well.

The star insignia on it was in use by the US Air Force from August 19th, 1919, until May 28th, 1942. The centered red circle centered within the star drawn from the pentagon shape is commonly referred to as "the Meatball." The only thing we aren't yet sure of is what the 48 on the side signifies, we don't suspect it was just an arbitrary number they slapped on it.
