Classic

The GG second M1A1 model

Model Description

We haven't yet pinpointed when the model changed over from Tommy Boy to Classic, but the model reviews would suggest it happened around the second quarter of 2018. The moniker Classic then stuck around for a little over two years and finally changing over to TMS in the second half of 2020.

The models' colors are very simple, the front grip running parallel to the bottom side of the barrel, The trigger grip, and the stock are all plastic pieces painted to resemble wood grain probably using a hydro dip film process. The rest of the model is diecast metal finished with black paint.

The main difference between the three models is the color of the simulated wood parts. Classics' coloring falls right between Tommy Boy and TMS, but honestly trying to identify the models strictly by the color of the “wood” parts would be practically impossible without having them all to do a side-by-side comparison. To identify Classic, the charging handle will not have a slot and the magazine release will be the same matte black color as the rest of the receiver.
